85°C Bakery – Daly City, CA

85°C Bakery Cafe is a Taiwanese bakery and cafe that is famous for their breads that are soft, pillowy, and fluffy.  Overall, the taste is not too sweet, like Asian sweet.  Here is a review of the items we tried:

Chocolate Bread: One of my favorites here!  Creamy chocolate filling with a soft and fluffy chocolate bread on the outside. It is milder on the chocolate side though, not they type of rich and dense chocolates, so if you like a lighter chocolate this bread is definitely for you.

Rating:  4 out of 5

Coconut and raisin twist:  Mildly sweet and shreds of coconut and raisins.

Rating: 3 out of 5

Brioche:  Plain bread, but with their signature soft, pillowy, and fluffy texture. Lightly sweet on top.  If you are a carb lover, this is truly addicting!

Rating: 5 out of 5

Egg tarts:  Lightly sweet, creamy and soft with a slightly crunchy exterior. These are great if you oven them again.  These are average tasting egg tarts you can get at most Chinese bakeries but nonetheless delicious!

Rating: 4 out of 5

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5.  What sets 85°C Bakery apart is the texture of their bread which makes this a carb lover’s dream!  And since it’s only mildly sweet, you want to keep eating more!
