Mikro Innovations Glass Cover
This is a review for the Mikro Innovations 10.5″ x 2.5″ glass cover.

Review
The order came with an assembled and nicely packaged glass cover. The dimensions are 10.5″ wide x 2.5″ high x 0.25″ thickness with an additional height of 1″ for the handle. It is a good idea to wash anything that is purchased new warm soapy water, rinse and allow to dry before using it.
Pros:
- The glass covers bowls and plates anywhere from 6″ to 10.5″ in diameter. I’ve personally placed it on a plate larger than 10.5″ without a problem.
- The silicone knob is sturdy and allows you to have a firm grip. After microwaving, the silicone knob did not feel hot to the touch at all.
- The clear glass is a hardened borosilicate glass that is food-safe and microwavable. The glass does not leech any chemicals and is BPA, lead-free, strong and sturdy. I’ve personally washed the mess off the glass right after I used it and it did not crack.
- The Mirko glass cover is definitely very easy to clean and is dishwasher safe.
Cons:
- The glass cover is heavier than your plastic lid options.
- The company advertises that it has a “No Drip Ventilation Hole” that “keeps the food moist while avoiding a soggy mess by allowing the steam to escape.” I found this to not be true; the steam will collect on top of the glass cover and it will begin to drip down as you begin to remove the cover. I honestly don’t mind it as the benefits of using a glass cover far outweighs using a plastic cover.
Overall, I would give it a 4.5 our of 5.
