Ling Nam
Ling Nam offers a Sunday brunch buffet from 8:00am to 2:00pm. This place was packed with locals and has a family-oriented vibe serving favorite Filipino dishes. Here is what we ate:

Mixed veggies with kabocha (a type of Japanese squash), string beans, and bitter melon, and tiny pork?/meat pieces. Overall, this is hearty and comforting. I would prefer it without the bitter melon since I’m not a fan of bitter melon but it was still good.

Pork Adobo: The potatoes were still hard like it was not cooked thoroughly and I could not bite into it. In addition, the pork had a gamey taste.

Scrambled Egg: Tastes like scrambled egg, but it did have tiny eggshells in them which was not pleasant.
Rating: 2 out of 5 – if they separate the eggshells it would be much more pleasant to eat
Steamed fish with soy sauce and ginger: The fish was moist and soft. Also, the ginger added a nice texture to the tenderness of the fish and the soy sauce complemented the overall dish. This is a more subtle flavor compared to other Filipino dishes. Reminds me more of a Chinese dish.
Rating: 3.5 out of 5
Pancit: Mixture of fat and thin noodles, which was great for texture. Tastes slightly salty similar to regular Chinese chow-mein.
Rating: 3 out of 5
Fried Fish Fillet: Fish had a light crunch on the outside and super moist on the inside. One of the best dishes here and definitely pairs well with vinegar sauce
Rating: 4 out of 5
Cantaloupe drink: Slices of cantaloupe with juice and ice. A bit too sweet for me, but it’s good
Rating: 3 out of 5
Ube dessert: Slight coconut flavor and ube dessert. Has a mochi texture, not too chewy.
Rating: 3 out of 5
Dessert (Unknown) A green liquid dessert. I took a scoop, and a fly came out! Of course, it was too disgusting and I did not even want to attempt to try it.
Rating: 0 out of 5.
Mix fruit dessert with ice and juice: The sweetness of the juice marinates the mix fruit, which consisted of tiny pieces of apples and watermelon. I prefer bigger chunks of fruit and less juice
Rating: 2 out of 5
It’s not the greatest tasting Filipino food. Overall, the place felt dirty and not hygienic. Not only did a fly flew out of the dessert, dishes were left in the open without a barrier. Most buffet places have some kind of barrier (i.e., sneeze guard) between the dishes and customers. It’s crowded with little ventilation and not worth it for the food. Though some dishes are okay, I don’t see myself coming back for the buffet
Overall Rating: 2.5 out of 5
