Ono Hawaiian BBQ – Colma, CA

Ono Hawaiian BBQ is one of the best Hawaiian BBQ restaurant chains!

This is one of my favorite Hawaiian BBQ chains! Service is fast, food is delicious, and prices are very reasonable. We ordered a family meal and that comes with 3 choices of protein, rice, macaroni salad, and sauteed cabbage. The total came out to be about $60.00. Some proteins you may need to pay extra for, and I think it’s worth it. Here’s a breakdown of what we ordered:

BBQ beef: salty, sweet, a bit chewy though. Flavor is good and well seasoned, but too chewy for me to swallow.

BBQ chicken:  well seasoned, good texture , solid Hawaiian BBQ chicken. Nothing fancy to go out of the way for, yet won’t let you down. Can’t go wrong with this

Chicken Teriyaki:  can’t tell the difference between the chicken teriyaki and the BBQ chicken. Again, nothing to go out of my way for, but definitely will fill me up and is delicious.

The family meal serves about 3-5 people and is definitely worth it for the price. It was not too greasy, plenty of veggies, and seems to be on the healthier and more balanced side. Also a great potluck dish to bring since it comes with 3 different types of protein, rice, macaroni salad and cabbage. For a limited time only, purchasing the family meal comes with a reusable Lilo and Stitch grocery bag. What a nice perk!
