Supreme Crab Seafood Buffet – San Francisco Review
We came here on a weekday around 1:30 – 2 pm and it was relatively quiet. The restaurant has a nice crab boat/elegant theme setting with large seating booths. For $32.99+tax per person, the selection is quite small for a buffet. Here is what we tried:
Salad bar: the vegetables were withered and not a vibrant looking salad bar. In addition, the kimchi smelled foul and spoiled.
Seafood: the snow crab leg were super salty, the salmon was tender but could use more seasoning, the tilapia fillet had better season and quite moist as well, the garlic shrimp was standard/ mediocre, but was prepared fresh.
Fried chicken: the best protein here. They were crunchy, juicy on the inside, delicious, and flavorful.
Fried rice: the best item here! Good wok-hei, nicely seasoned, and addicting.
Corn, potatoes, and shrimp boil: Corn and shrimp was delicious and soaked up the sauce well, but the potatoes were bland.
Dessert: Ice cream was standard and nothing special. The ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry) tasted more like Thrifty, low quality ice-cream. Still satisfying, mostly sweet in flavor and nothing outstanding.
Overall rating: 3 out of 5
Food was okay. Fried rice and fried chicken were the best items here, but I wouldn’t come back and pay $32.99+tax for fried rice and chicken. And that’s $32.99+tax without tips!
